General Manager – Transportation Services
Location: Tacoma, WA
Salary Range: $90-150k/annually
FLSA: Exempt
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our trucking and transportation services across PNW (WA, OR?). This role oversees all aspects of company operations, including dispatching, customer service, sales, compliance, safety, financial performance, and overall business development, while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable transportation services. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven knowledge of FMCSA, port operations, and regional trucking requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily dispatch and fleet operations to ensure on-time service.
- Develop customer relationships and drive business growth in WA and OR.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, UIIA, and port regulations.
- Lead and mentor dispatchers, drivers, and support staff.
- Collaborate with leadership on safety, performance, and profitability goals.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in transportation/trucking management, including dispatch.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA rules, DOT compliance, UIIA, and port operations.
- Experience with Washington/Oregon trucking markets a plus.
- Leadership experience with drivers and office staff.
- Business development and customer service skills.
